

Leila (Grace) Richardson, born February 4, 1914 in Collin County, Texas, entered into rest on July 25, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 98. Grace was a strong, loving, compassionate mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was ever faithful and devoted to God, church, and family. A legendary quilter, Grace had completed over 300 quilts by hand. She was a woman of substance, always toiling. Grace was also a past worthy matron of The Logos Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Self-educated, she was employed at Kelly AFB, retiring in 1974. Grace was preceded in death by her precious husband of 54 years, Roy J. Richardson, her parents John C. and Flora Lee Jameson, 12 of her siblings, granddaughter Susan Elaine Cormier Heinz, and sons-in-law Johnnie Wilcox and Irwin Teitelbaum. She is survived by daughters Bonnie N. Wilcox and Jamie (Teitelbaum) Cormier, great-granddaughter Emma Grace Heinz, her dad Jay Heinz, and her grandfather James Cormier, and Grace’s sister Pauline Swain of California. Several special people in her life include Linda Hammond, Dr. Gordon Hill, and Randall Gilmore. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy., San Antonio, Tx 78218 on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
