

Greg was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on November 7th, 1959.
He grew up in Wheaton, IL and graduated from Wheaton North High School, where he also excelled in gymnastics and soccer. Greg went on to Saint Mary's College in Winona, Minnesota, graduating in 1981, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Greg settled in San Antonio, Texas, in 1984, and built very successful businesses.
He was the founder of "KeyAd," "Apartment MarketData," and "Commercial Investment Services, Inc." Greg's CIS is one of the largest companies building affordable housing in the United States measured by the number of projects, units and square feet completed. Greg was certified as a CPM by the Institute of Real Estate Management in Chicago, IL, and by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute as a Certified Commercial Investment Manager CCIM. As a Licensed Texas Real Estate Broker he had numerous professional affiliations in San Antonio, the state of Texas and on the national scene.
He is survived by his parents, John Sr. and Grace nee Angerer Thorse of Wheaton, IL; three brothers, John Jr. nee Jeanne Alexander of Round Rock, TX, David of San Antonio, TX, and Daniel nee Sheila Jackson of Naperville, IL; two nephews, Jordon Thorse and Dillon Thorse; one niece, Sheridan Thorse.
Greg was truly loved. He was most thankful for family, relatives, friends, and for those who he never met, who kept him in their prayers and thoughts, and helped him as he battled pancreatic cancer.
Memorials may be given in Greg's memory to a charity of choice.
He will be buried in Fort Howard Memorial Park in Green Bay, WI.
