She was born on January 18, 1945 in San Antonio, TX. As a child, she was fearless, energetic, and endearing. She was a devoted, nurturing and wonderful mother. Lupe was a proud, protective and amazing Grandmother. She loved all of her family immensely and unconditionally.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adela and Arturo Gutierrez; nephew, Jose Alejandro Frias, and niece, Rose Marie Frias.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez; her grandchildren, Aaron Gutierrez, Iris Guadalupe Ybarra, and Irene Gloria Ybarra; her brother, Arturo Gutierrez; her sisters, Leonor Ramirez (Jose), San Juana Valadez (Geronimo), Adela Gutierrez, and numerous extended family and friends.
Lupe was honest and genuinely beautiful inside and out. She was truly a person we should all aspire to be and will be greatly missed, but forever celebrated.
The Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 beginning at 5:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX, 78237. Departing from the funeral home, Mass will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1:00pm. at St. John Berchman’s Church, 1147 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78226 followed by a procession to San Fernando Cemetery #2, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, only 50 guests will be allowed in the funeral home chapel at a time. Unlimited guests will be allowed at St. John Berchman’s Church.
