I'm so sorry to hear about Gus. My daughter Gina introduce him to us. He was such a nice man. We had the pleasure of spending his last Christmas with us. He really enjoyed his Christmas dinner and especially all the homemade cookies, etc. He was so surprised that we included him in the gift exchange. We went to the home and had dinner with him a few times and he was so glad to have visitors, and had great time learning about the new I-Phone, etc. We have wonderful fun memories of him and will miss him.

My sincere sympathy for the loss of Gus. I spoke to him only a few days before he passed and from our conversation, he didn't appear to be feeling down or sick. He never complained to me, and he always was a great motivator in my life. I was a caregiver for him during Dec&Jan.& I had him up& walking again& even walked over to Central Market for him to see their bakery.He enjoyed it so much. Talking with him brought me Hope for tomorrow,motivation,encouragement,& he taught me how to believe in myself. I was so very blessed to get to know him and we had many laughs during our friendship. Gus and I were friends and worked together on several projects. He was the epitomy as a representative of the United States Power Squadron. I regret that I will not be able to attend the graveside service. May God rest his soul. David Coggins, JN

The service you organized at Fort Sam for Uncle Gus was exactly the service to bring together so many aspects of Gus' life over the years. Mother was so very pleased with the tribute to her brother. It was the perfect way to say goodbye to Gus. Thank you so much, and love to you both. Ann

Holly and Gus were two of the nicest people on earth, and they both did so much for the Incarnate Word Alumni. 
Holly was such fun to work with and she was a hard working volunteer. We'll never forget the luau and dancers she brought to Homecoming. May they both rest in peace.

The staff and residents of The Village at Incarnate Word join the family of Gus Bohnet in mourning his loss. He was a well-loved member of our community for seven years. May God grant you peace and strength for this difficult time. May Gus rest in the arms of God.

I worked at the bakery from 1960 till 1966. 
I remember the Bohnet family being very good to me. Vernon Willoughby. Mrs Bohnet, and Gus Bonnet.
