

Harold W. Hildebrandt was born November 12, 1917 and went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the age of 95.
He worked for the City Water Board for 42 years and the Cadillac Water Corp for 29 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the Indo China Theater.
Harold was a member of Hermann Sons for over 75 years. He devoted his life to the service of others in the San Antonio community and through St. John's Lutheran Church by visiting people at various nursing homes for over 20 years. Harold always gave a kind word to the residents giving them hope and comfort. He was a founding member of today's Meals on Wheels, a Stephen Minister, Eucharistic Minister, involved in Christian Education, and numerous other boards at St. John's. His loves were his first wife Dorothy and second wife Rose, both preceding him in death. His next love was flowers, Orchids being his favorite, which he grew at his home for many years.
Harold is also preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Helen Franke Hildebrandt and his sister, Marguerite Lewis.
He is survived by his sister, Lucille Herndon and several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
