

Harold Leslie Hunsaker, son of Harold Peter and Elizabeth Leslie Hunsaker was born in Fairfax, Oklahoma on June 6, 1940. He passed away on March 28, 2025 at the age of 84.
Hal attended Webb City and Shidler Public schools in Oklahoma. A 1958 graduate of Shidler High School where he was a Football and Track star, President of the Senior Class, Oklahoma Boys State delegate and Eagle Scout. He attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma and Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma.
A gregarious personality and natural born salesman, Hal worked 40 years in Sales and Management for Patterson Dental in Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, California and Houston, Texas. His earliest business cards introduced him as “Happy Hal, The Dentists' Pal!”
In retirement, he and his wife Susie, bought a Newell Coach and traveled across the United States with friends and came home in the summers to his beloved “Redbud Point” lake house outside of Huntsville, Texas to spend time with family. After seeing it all, he made his new home base San Antonio, Texas and spent his summers boating in Charlevoix, Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son Harold (Robbie) Robert Hunsaker and brother-in-law Gary Patton. Hal is survived by his wife Susie, daughter Leslie Carter, son-in-law Steve Carter, granddaughters Madelyn (Michael) Stanley of Dallas and Claire (Brendan) Voss of Arington, great granddaughter Mia Stanley, sister Francie Patton and many nieces, nephews, family and friends, who dearly loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in the Chapel of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home -1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas.
