Harry Irby was born on August 5, 1925, and passed away at his home on March 12, 2002. He was born in San Antonio, the son of Joseph and Frieda Irby. He graduated from Brackenridge High School, class of 1942. He enlisted in the US Navy and was a veteran of World War II serving as a pharmacist/medic. He was an employee of Southwestern Bell for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frieda Irby, and his son, Michael. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Corrine Irby; children, Beverlay Churchill and her husband, Jim Churchill, Nancy Lovely and her husband, David Lovely and Jim Irby; grandchildren, Chase and Summer Churchill, Samuel, Sara and Joseph Lovely; brothers, Harold Irby and his wife Mary, Clinton Irby and his wife Zula; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
