Born on June 25, 1976, in Plano, Texas, Heather's life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and resilience. Heather was the cherished daughter of Pamela and Robert Cowgill. Her mother, Pamela, who predeceased her, played a significant role in shaping the compassionate and vibrant woman Heather became.
Heather's spirit was marked by a free will and a determination to find joy and peace, even when life presented its storms. Her vulnerability and sensitivity made her a beacon of understanding and empathy for those around her.
A proud graduate of Plano Senior High School in 1995, Heather pursued her higher education with a passion for learning. She studied at the University of Texas in Austin and went on to earn both a Bachelor of Arts in 2011 and a Master of Arts in 2012 with honors from Ashford University. Her academic achievements were celebrated, and she was a proud member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, a testament to her dedication and intellect.
Heather's professional journey was as varied as it was fulfilling. She held numerous positions at respected companies, including Granada Movie Grill, Fast Signs, Hutton Communications, Wells Fargo Bank, KinderCare, and Amerisource Bergen. However, her favorite role was that of a homemaker, where she poured her heart and soul into creating a loving and nurturing environment for her family.
Heather was a talented artist and interior designer, often using her keen eye for beauty to transform spaces into works of art. Her writing allowed her to express her innermost thoughts, while her love for dance in her younger years brought her immense joy. A natural conversationalist, Heather delighted in meaningful dialogues, finding a common bond with everyone she met.
Heather leaves behind her two beloved sons, Riley and Brodie Walker, who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her brother, Ryan Cowgill, his wife Brooksie, and their children Cooper, Campbell, and Collin. Her aunts, Jill Lueckenotte and Beth Davidson, as well as her cousin, Laura Salters, will deeply feel her absence. Peter Evans, a close friend, will miss Heather's unwavering support and kindness.
In the words of her family, "We are seldom ready for the storms in life, and they often come without warning and with various intensities. Some storms come so violently that they leave us exposed and hurting so deeply that we truly look for shelter where there is none. That's where God steps in to take us home, giving us the peace and happiness that have eluded us in this world. Thank you, Lord."
Heather Ashley Walker's life was a testament to love, perseverance, and the beauty of the human spirit. Her legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew her, as she finds eternal peace and happiness beyond the storms of this world.
