She was born October 8, 1973 in Jackson Mississippi. Growing up, Helen lived in Jackson Mississippi, Eagle Pennsylvania, Covington, Louisiana, and settled in San Antonio, Texas in 1986.
She attended Saint Gregory the Great Elementary School and graduated from Ursuline Academy as Valedictorian. She was active in athletics during her school years. Helen received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Texas A & M University and was about to finish her Doctorate degree. She was a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Galen College and San Antonio College.
She is survived by her parents, Numa R. and Helois A. Laiche and grandmother, Rita Laiche.
