Helen Louise Menchaca, age 88, of San Antonio, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 16, 2015. She was born in Rossville, Texas to Pedro Valdez and Micaela Van Ness. Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband Andres Menchaca, her dear son Robert V. Menchaca and sister Della Kirsch. Helen is survived by her beloved sons; Andrew Menchaca and wife Maria, Rudy V. Menchaca, grandchildren; Anissa Morgan and husband Rob, Rene Menchaca, Natasha Menchaca, great grandchildren; Victoria, Alicen, Reagan Andres, Jeremy, sisters; Aurora Valdez, Beatrice Tovar, numerous other relatives. She loved her family, baseball and was a dedicated member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, Jaunuary, 22, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with Interment to follow at First Memorial Burial.
