Helen Nelson

She was born on August 12, 1923 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to parents Livinia Arjyrou and Steve Zanetis who immigrated from Samos, Greece.

Mom was unconditionally loving and loyal to her family. She loved holidays and family gatherings, especially at my home. She enjoyed playing bridge and other card games, cooking Greek food, traveling, knitting and especially telling stories about her grandkids and great grandkids. She had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes.

She is survived by her daughter Polly Macedo and spouse, Carlos, sister Catherine Boxill, grandson Marlos Macedo and spouse Amanda, granddaughter Melanie Flinn and spouse Toby, six great grandchildren Lucas Flinn, 14, Mazen Macedo 12, Sage Flinn, 12, Max Macedo 10, Roman Flinn, 9, and Evangeline Flinn 7 and twenty loving nieces and nephews.

Mom was preceded in death by her spouse Albert Nelson. A private family funeral was held on July 6th, 2021 at Porter Loring Mortuary chapel and burial was at Mission Park North Cemetery.
