Helen Whitehead

She was born July 11, 1911, in Hondo, to Oscar and Helen Miller.

Our beloved mother, known for her love of children and called "Grandma" by everyone, was a teacher, and also cared for children at St. George Episcopal church on Sunday for many years.

We will always remember the wonderful smells coming from her kitchen as we came to visit. She left us with wonderful memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; sister; and husband, Kirby.

Helen is survived by her children, Ann Carabin and husband, Dan, Patty Kiedaisch and husband, Charlie, Kirby Whitehead and wife, Willma; grandchildren, Kirsten Carabin, Kirby Whitehead and wife, Yoshi, Chris Carabin and wife, Melissa, Bill Whitehead and wife, Anna, Scott Kiedaisch, Kerry Whitehead, Brett Kiedaisch and wife, Stacey, Kelli Simons and husband, Dustin; great-grandchildren, Maki Carabin, Madeleine and Aly Garreston, Jake and Emily Kiedaisch, Brody and Meg Simons, Jack, Emily, Collin and Mika Whitehead; brother-in-law, Jack Droitcourt; numerous nieces and nephews.
