

Henry James "Jim" French, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024, just one day shy of his 93rd birthday. Born on May 20, 1931, in the small town of Grass Range, Montana, Jim lived a full and vibrant life that left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He departed this world in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived and the love of his family.
Jim was a man of integrity and strength, qualities that he carried with him through a distinguished 30-year career in the U.S. Air Force. As an Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Inspector, he dedicated his life to serving his country with honor and distinction. His work took him to many places and introduced him to lifelong friends.
Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife, Paulette French, whose memory he held close to his heart until his last breath. He is survived by his son, Paul French (Nancy), his daughter, Reba Hill (David), and grandchildren, Nick French (Darlene), Tara French (David Rodriguez), Corey Hill (Milaixa Gomez), Austin Hill (Rachel Slank), Alexandrea Bridgford (Chase), and great grandchildren Sophia French, Emily French, and Melissa Hill.
Jim's interests were as vast as the Montana sky he grew up under. He had an impressive car collection and enjoyed traveling and fishing.
An adventurous spirit, Jim never lost his love for sports, rooting for his beloved Cowboys and Spurs with the same enthusiasm as a young man. Yet, no matter where his adventures took him, he always found solace in returning to his Montana roots.
Jim lived life to the fullest. His legacy is one of love, service, and the courage to embrace life's adventures. Henry James "Jim" French will be deeply missed.
Jim will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Paulette, in Englewood, TN.
