It is impossible to convey the meaning of the friendship of the Florios and the Passmores. We have been through so much happiness and sadness together. 
Ernie,Marsha and I have wonderful memories of Henry and his family, we will always hold them close to us and remember Henry as the unique individual he was.

I knew Henry through my friendship with his son Sam in high school. Favorite memories were the laughs and thoughtful conversations we all had at the dinner table, long after the plates were cleared. Lemonade on the back porch overlooking Barbara's bountiful gardens. During a summer visit home from college, Henry invited me to a picnic luncheon and a canoe ride down the Brandywine River. He brought a small picnic lunch and we made our way down the windy shallow waters in a rented canoe. All was quiet and serene until we came around a corner to a river loaded with thirsty cows enjoying a cool refreshment. We were so surprised and puzzled to see a shallow river full of cows we neglected to think fast enough to divert our canoe and before we knew it were plunging into the cows in a reverse kind of slow motion stampede! Being so low in the water we ran into the cows at belly level. Through a forest of knobby knees, flying hooves and cacophonous moos, we plunged and broke apart their afternoon repast, sending our ores and lunch into a tangle of cow tails, while the canoe twisted and moaned ... somehow we managed to stay aboard and came out the other side afloat and unharmed, but for some soggy sandwiches. We were a couple of surprised sailors! After the initial shock and revelation that we came through unscathed we laughed and ate our soggy sandwiches and wondered how would anyone believe our story! In 2001, after not seeing Henry for over 20 years, I was in Philadelphia where Amargosa, a film I produced with my brother, was playing at the Philadelphia Film Festival. Like a hero from the mist, I saw a man emerge from a crowd of people coming into the theater and slowly recognized Henry's unforgettable face. He was much older and more frail, but there he was. He said Sam had told him about the film. I could see that it had been a challenge for him to get there, it meant so much to me that he made the journey to see my work and support me. 
That's the kind of man Henry was. I will always remember him as my personal booster and loyal friend. He raised and inspired a wonderful family, and was generous to his extended family and community. His legacy will live on, and he will not be forgotten. To You, Henry Passmore! Thank you for the memories!!! Warmest regards, Traci R.

I remember Henry as a person who most of all expressed sincerity and gentleness in his interactions with others. In particular, I remember his joyous kindness in showing me and Kelly around NYork when I was there to see the doctor. It was an anxious time for me, feeling insecure about New York City and about my illness. But Henry extended his energy and time to us in such a generous and genuine way, and made our time in NY city fun and meaningful. I shall always remember him and be grateful for his deep kindness.

An exceptional person and friend has left us.

Henry was always so interested in Sam's friends, myself in particular. I spent many wonderful evenings with him in deep and long conversations in which I felt that he really heard me and respected what I had to say. As a young adult struggling to make sense of the world, that affirmation meant a great deal to me. I also had one of the best mornings I can remember picking strawberries with Henry for Lindsay's bridal shower. I will miss his great kindness. Love to all of you there - holding you close in my heart.
