Hilario Alva, Jr.

Hilario Alva Jr. aka Larry Jr. was born on June 3, 1962 to Hilario Alva, Sr. and Mrs. Delia Davila Alva at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Evangelina; parents; children, Andria, Elizabeth (grandchild Eric), Nichelle, Vicente, Carmen; and stepchildren Georgina, Jenifer, and Jorge. He is also survived by his brothers, John, Albert, and Andrew.

Larry Jr. was a graduate of Wichita High School East and received an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Aviation Technology. He proudly served in the United States Air Force on a flight crew as a Flight Engineer aboard the C-141 Starlifter. His time in the USAF afforded him the ability to see nearly all the world and he was able to share those experiences with his family. He was medically released from the U.S. Air Force after 15 years of service due to exposure to toxic fuels while assisting with the rescue of the pilot as a significant toxic fuel leak flooded the cockpit. Larry Jr. was awarded an Honorable Discharge.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East.
