Ian Jones was born on December 28th, 1980. As a child, he loved to learn anything he could get his hands on, always an inquisitive and searching child. He learned to read incredibly early; and never stopped. He had such a passion for books; having such a voracious mind for learning.
Later in life, he obtained several managerial positions, always striving for the best in all aspects of his life. He was lastly working at Ibex Global as a manager; and Ian loved his teams. He was always so proud of all of the hard work they would do, each and every day. We were our own little family there.
Anyone that met Ian could see he was absolutely a Titan, in life and in love. Not only was he 6'9", he was just a force of nature; a gentle giant that had so much love to offer the world. He was a protector, a leader, a champion, my Byronic hero, the love of my life. He lived like he loved: full force, holding nothing back; and trying to squeeze every bit of life force out of this world.
Ian is the finest example of a life well lived. Through tragedy, adversity, and struggle of the hardest kind, Ian climbed out of hell, and brought Heaven to me, and all he knew. There will never be another.
Ian is survived by his wife, Sydney Jones; his brother, Adam Jones, and his mother-in-law, Mary Beth Williams; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Glen and Bonnie Porter; his aunt and uncle, Allison and Richard Dykes; his brother, Troy Harrup; sister and brother-in-law, Casey and Tony DeBell and brother, Jesse Bequette.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
