

At the age of 18, Ignacio was drafted and served in the US Navy from 1944-1969. He was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was so proud to serve his country.
As a child of the depression era, he became the “man of the house” at the age of 9. He worked with his mother in a pecan factory and shined shoes until he was old enough to get a grownup job.
Our Lord blessed him with the biggest heart full of love. He lived a beautiful life showing his love of God and family by the way he lived, always putting others before himself.
Preceded in death by: Hortense C. Gonzales his first wife, Beatriz Y. Gonzales his second wife, Ignacio C. Gonzales, Jr. son.
Survived by Linda M. Rutherford, daughter, Ramon Gonzales, son and wife Josie, Maria Magdalena Valdez, daughter, Yolanda DeHoyos, daughter, 7 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
