Imogene Sadberry Charles, 87, passed away peacefully Friday, November 27, 2015 in Arlington, Texas. She was born in Benchley, Texas to John and Eliza Sadberry. Imogene was the eleventh child of thirteen children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 11 siblings, and her husband, Lee Eddie Charles. She is survived by her three children Aaron Charles, Edward Charles, and Regina Charles Mack; her sister, Rubye Sadberry of Virginia; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as a host of friends.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 6th from 6 pm-8 pm at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. The funeral service will be 12:00 pm on Monday, December 7th at New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church; 1639 Hays St.; San Antonio, TX 78202. The burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The funeral service will be officiated Pastor Joel C. Allen.
