Ira Leonard "Lennie" Blau

Born on October 23, 1924 and passed away on August 19, 2016 at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Edna; His Son David and wife Pam; Daughter Betsy; Grandchildren, Brook and husband Roger Pruitt, Tracy Blau, Bryan and wife Adrienne Blau, and Keaton Blau; And Great Grandchildren, Gage Pruitt, Maren Blau, and Reid Dean. He is preceded in death by Sons, Clyde Temple and Johnny Blau. Lennie served his country in WWII with the Coast Guard and continued to serve with the Air Force where he reached the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Upon retirement he worked for Monaco Enterprises for another 25 years. Lennie was a frequent guest pianist at Old San Francisco Steak House and played with artist such as Elvis Presley and Frankie Valle. He will be missed by family and friends alike. A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Sunset North Funeral Home. 910 North Loop 1604 East. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, August 29, 2016 after a 9:00 a.m. Chapel Service with Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
