Irene "Honey" Martin

Irene “Honey” Helen Martin born on January 3, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2011 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Uecker and mother, Ida Semlinger Uecker; sister, Doris Kneupper; and brother, Jerome Uecker.

Survivors include, her daughter, Sharon Brown & husband Hugh of Ashburn, VA; sons, Gordon & Henry Martin of San Antonio; sister, LaVerne Lotito & husband Carmen of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Uecker of San Antonio; grandchildren, Lisa Paradiso & husband Michael of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Willert & husband Timothy of Norman, OK, Amy Martin of Houston, TX,; great-grandchildren, Heather, Ashley & Joshua Martin, Nicholas & Natalie Paradiso, Christopher & Lacey Willert; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

Visitation will be 6-9:00 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2011 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate, SATX 78216. Interment will be at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park.
