Irene Subirias Martinez

Irene Subirias Martinez passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the age of 87 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on March 1, 1934 in Sacramento, California, she is preceded in death by her parents, Irineo Subirias and Agripina Gonzalez Subirias; her beloved husband, Alfredo Martinez Sr.; her children, Beatrice Aguiñaga, Guillermo Martinez (Sylvia) and Roy Martinez; and all her brothers and sisters.

Irene is survived by her children, Alfredo Martinez Jr. (Gloria), Juan Martinez (Mariann), Carmen Perez, Henry Martinez (Mae), Janet Peña (Ed), Jerry Martinez (Nellie) and Mike Martinez; her grandchildren, Richard, Cheryl, Shannon, Monica, Nicholas, Jo Anne, Jose Luis, Jennifer, Michelle, Stephanie, Joseph, Lisa, Mark, Karen, Jason, Valerie, Veronica, Nichole, Andrew, Michael and Brian; her seventeen great-grandchildren; her eleven great-great-grandchildren,; and her extended family and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation at Trevino Funeral Home – 226 Cupples Road 78237 – will be limited to 100 people in the building at a time.

The family will be receiving friends for the Visitation on Monday, August 23 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, August 24, the doors will reopen from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Funeral Service to begin at 7:00 PM.
