Irma Ortega Rangel, age 76, left us peacefully on February 19, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas to be in heaven with her beloved husband Juan Rangel, parents Arturo and Carmen Ortega, brother Johnny Ortega, and cherished dog Chico.
Born on November 9, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas, Irma spent a lifetime deeply rooted in the community she cherished. She leaves behind a loving family who will honor her memory: children, Monica Juarez, John Michael Rangel and Jessica O'Neal; married to Maximiliano Juarez, Priscilla Rangel, and Sean O'Neal respectively; grandchildren, Carolina and Aden Juarez, Daniella, Sophia, and Noah Rangel, Cameron and Jack O'Neal; siblings Virginia Vera, Angelita Molina, Albert Ortega, and Liza Ortega. Her family was the heart of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Irma found profound joy and solace in her faith. She was a garden of love, nurturing both plants and relationships with equal care. With hands that tended to blossoms and spirits alike, Irma cultivated beauty in every corner of life.
Beyond her love for nature, Irma was a passionate sports fan, cheering fervently alongside her late husband for the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. Game days were filled with excitement and camaraderie as they shared countless memorable tailgates and watch parties supporting their favorite teams. Traveling brought her great joy—especially family vacations to the beach where she could bask in the sun and share laughter with friends and loved ones.
Irma’s warmth radiated like sunlight through the lives of those she touched—steadfast in love and generous in spirit. Though she has departed this world, her memory will forever bloom in the hearts of those who knew her.
The family requests loved ones to come celebrate Irma Rangel's life on Monday, March 3, 2025, with visitation at 6:00 PM and Rosary starting at 7:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2101 North Loop 1604 East.
