

Irvin Lee Patton II, 56, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born in El Paso July 24, 1960 to Irvin Jackson and Miriam Crockett Patton. He graduated from Austin High School in El Paso in 1978 and went on to be a proud member of the Corps of Cadets and Fish Drill Team at Texas A & M University graduating in 1982 with a commission in the Air Force and a B.S. in Computer Science. Lee served his country honorably for 10 years including a deployment to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. A lifelong learner, he was awarded a MA in Computer Resources Management from Webster University in 1988 and an MS in Computer Science with a certificate in Software Systems Engineering from George Mason University in 1998. After his service, he was employed in the private sector and at the time of his death worked for AAI Services at Dyess AFB in Abilene.Lee was an avid family man and #1 fan of his children and all their endeavors. He loved football, baseball, golf, road trips, deep belly laughs and meticulous record keeping. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.He is preceded in death by his father, Irvin. Survivors include his mother, Miriam; his wife of 30 years, Linda Donata Patton, of Abilene; daughter Jeleesa Trampe (Chris) of Berlin, Germany; son, Christopher Patton of Kyle; sisters, Tia Patton of Edna and Lucretia Clark (Randy Hinkle) of Spicewood; brother, Bretney Patton (Nicole) of Cedar Park and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.Lee will be buried at Fort Sam Houston with full military honors and a memorial service to be held June 16.
