Isabel Fortune Napier was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on October 22, 1916, currently a resident of San Antonio, TX, died Saturday, February 10, 2001. She graduated from Hiram College and obtained a postgraduate degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. She attained the rank of Captain during WWII and served in the Army Medical Corps in England and the United States. Mrs. Napier lived in El Paso for 45 years, where she is remembered lovingly by her former patients, friends and family for her healing hands, her warm, encouraging spirit and witty sense of humor. She is survived by her husband, Frank Napier; children, Charles and Marcia; six grandchildren; her brother, Capt., James H. Fortune U.S.N. Ret.; and many nieces and nephews. She was the Director of the El Paso Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Center as well as owner of Tres Mariposas. Isabel was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in El Paso for over 30 years, and also a member of AAUW and PEO.
