Isabelle Alonzo

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Estefana Peche, infant son, David Alonzo and brother Manuel Peche.

Isabelle is survived by her husband of 65 years, and the love of her life, Daniel G. Alonzo; sons Gary Roger Alonzo (Alma), David Anthony Alonzo (Juanita), Daniel Patrick Alonzo (Robin); eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; sister Evelyn McRae and sister-in-law Mary Peche.

Isabelle graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1951 where she was a cheerleader both her junior and senior years. It was from here that her and Daniel met many life-long friends that they would enjoy partying with for many years. Upon graduation she began her working career at Frost Bank and thereafter spent many years working in the accounting department for various hotels, among them the El Tropicano Hotel, La Mansion Downtown and Double Tree Hotels.

Isabelle was a long-time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she was an active member of the altar society and VSPs. She, along with her husband Daniel, were active volunteers for many years with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to many people in the Blessed Sacrament community.

Isabelle enjoyed attending all her children's and grandchildren's academic events, athletic games, parties and graduations. She helped greatly driving to and picking-up her grandchildren from school and feeding them her delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. She also enjoyed watching Spurs games with her husband. She also loved to sew and read the numerous magazines she would order.

Services for Isabelle will be Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with viewing between 10:00 and 12:00 am, to be followed by a rosary and thereafter Mass of the Resurrection. A funeral procession will then proceed to Fort Sam Houston for burial.
