

Israel C. Quiroga was born on June 3, 1952, in Bloomdale, Ohio, to Epifanio and Carlota Quiroga. He was raised and educated in San Antonio, Texas, where he attended school and later graduated from Memorial High School.
On June 19, 1976, he married the love of his life, Maria G. Quiroga, in San Antonio, Texas. Israel dedicated 26 years of service as an electrician at the San Antonio State Hospital, retiring at the age of 62.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Epifanio and Carlota Quiroga; his six brothers and four sisters; his grandchild, Jordan Quiroga-Sutton; and numerous extended family members.
Israel C. Quiroga is survived by his loving wife, Maria G. Quiroga; his daughters, Ruby Jean Quiroga-Cortez and her husband, Rolando Cortez, and Janice Lynn Peterson and her husband, Steven Peterson. He is also survived by Dolores Quiroga, with whom he shared a daughter, Rosa Gonzalez.
He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Jesus Quiroga and his wife, Ximena Quiroga; Christian Cortez; Angel Gonzalez; Christian Sharpe; Ayden Quiroga-Sutton; Olivia Peterson; Makayla Peterson; and Hunter Peterson.
Israel is also survived by his sisters, Maria Elena Caldera and Candy Estrada. In addition, he will be fondly remembered by his beloved pets, Coco and Luna, who brought him great comfort and joy.
Visitation will be at 6pm on Wednesday , April 15, 2026 at Sunset Northwest- 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Sunset Northwest- 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio Texas, with a reception to follow, where family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life.
