Iva Jane Mrs. Smith

Iva Jane Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on July 30, 1931 to A.B. Richard and Ivy Richard in Jennings, Louisiana. Iva graduated from Jennings High School and married Wallace H. "Bo" Smith on August 14, 1949. She raised her family and held various jobs before retiring from USAA. She was a member of Cornerstone Church and loved attending church functions and her ladies' bible study. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 67 years, Bo Smith; five sisters: Beatrice Hill, Lillian Parks, Leona Lopez, Anna Fruge, Dora Miller; and one brother, A.B. Richard, Jr. Iva is survived by four children: Kent Smith, Brenda Urban and husband Bobby, Annie Pack and husband Sam, Ginger Rowe and husband Brett Rowe; four grandchildren: B. Cullen Rowe, Bailey Elizabeth Rowe, Chet Alan Pack and Cray Ryan Pack, her sister Vinnell Richard of Jennings, Louisiana; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends that were like family. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North on Sunday, July 1, 2018.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM.
