
Jack was born on June 3, 1915 in Dallas, Texas, died in San Antonio, Thursday, May 18, 2006.
He was an Enrollee and Leader CCC Civilian Conservation Corps, Colorado, 1932-1934. He served as First Sergeant, Medical Detachment, Ninth Infantry Regiment, Second Infantry Division and was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant MAC/CCS, in Abilene, Texas, and was assigned to Staff.
Jack was a veteran of World War II in the European and Pacific Theaters. He graduated Class One Assistant Battalion Surgeon School, Osaka, Japan and served with the Third Engineer Combat Battalion, Twenty-Fourth Infantry Division in Korea.
He was employed with Roegelein Provision Company 1959-1976 as Purchasing Agent, served as Trustee of the Employees Profit Sharing Plan for sixteen years and was President of the Federal Credit Union for six years.
He was a member of the San Antonio Executives Association for 28 years, Executive Vice President and General Manager 13 yrs; Annual Game Dinner Chairman and Master of Ceremonies 13 yrs; President of the Packers Investment Club, President Town-County Optimist Little League Baseball, President PTA Nimitz Junior High School, Vice President Festival San Jacinto Association, Member of the San Antonio Fiesta Commission, Director of Fiesta Flambeau, 1978 and 1983, Member of Loyal Order Boars Medical, past Member Knife and Forks Club, Member Last Man Standing, Member of Lonnie Irvin Daylight Lodge No. 1309, Mason 1949; 32 Degree Scottish-rite 1949, became Noble Shrine November 5, 1949, Douglas MacArthur Pilgrimage Class, Tokyo, Japan under watchful eyes of the Great General; served as Ritualistic Potentate Alzafar Temple 18.5 years, President of Mixed Bowling League, Imperial Representative Shrine Miami Beach Florida 1971, Past Director Alamo Court of Royal Order Jesters, Past Secretary Jesters of Texas, Members Chapter 17 National Sojourners and Past President Chapter 370, 1956, and was a Member of Grace Point Church.
Preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Mary Ruth Wilson of Hondo, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Virgie Halbardier Hall; sons, Harry Wayne and Patricia Jane Kelley of Fort Ripley, Minnesota; Jimmy Travis and Rowlayne Hall of Burnet, Texas; Alan Stuart Hall of Houston, Texas; daughters, Patricia Jane Hall of Cedar Hill, Texas; Sydney Jacqueline and James M. Dudley of Kingwood, Texas; and Mary Evelyn and Rod Dickens of Bellaire, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
