

Jack Vincent Taguiam died peacefully at home on Friday, December 6. Born on January 2, 1962, in Harrisburg, PA, the only son of Roman and Rosita Taguiam, Jack grew up in San Antonio and graduated from John Jay High School. With a B.S. in Electronic Engineering, he worked at Southwest Research Institute for 29 years, most recently as Electronic Technologist in Applied Physics.
Jack was a playful, widely talented, intense man with a quiet faith in Christ and generous love for others. An avid cyclist, he formed the Roadrunner Cycling Team and competed in many eventsencouraging and enjoying friends through sport. Jack also competed in practical shooting and was a skillful pilot of radio-controlled helicopters. As a creative teenager, Jack was selected to tour Europe with his piano studio. He later competed in Country Western dancing, and he developed his own business, Vincent Photography, with instruction from world-renowned wedding and portrait photographers.
In 1997, Jack married Emily Kimball at First Presbyterian Church where the two faithfully served, particularly through contemporary worship. For 20 years, Jack provided instrumental audio and technical support there.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Rosita Taguiam. He is survived by his wife, Emily; father- and mother-in-law Robert and Mary Kimball, of Houston; sister-in-law, Laura Kimball of Seattle; brother-in-law, Peter Kimball, his wife, Laura Heuser Kimball, and their children Sophia, Ariana, and Alexander of Minneapolis; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Jack's name to First Presbyterian Church, 404 N. Alamo, San Antonio, TX 78205 or marked for research to Thrivewell Cancer Foundation, PO Box 29331, San Antonio, TX 78229. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 14 at First Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m.
