Jack started his college education at University of Texas at Austin. It was interrupted by World War II, where he served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He then completed his Degree in 1947, with a BS in Petroleum Engineering.
Jack was very active for 40 years in the oil and gas business.
Survivors: loving wife of 62 years, Betty Watson; son, James A. Andy Watson and wife, Cheryl, Houston; daughters, Mary Beth Delano and husband, Rick, Corpus Christi and Jan Cunningham, Dallas; grandchildren, Adam Delano, Ashley Delano, Shelby Cunningham, Loudon Cunningham, Miles Cunningham, Cato Cunningham, Tracy Dupre and her husband, Travis; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Watson and wife, Jo; Joe Watson and wife, Trudy; Fred Watson and wife, Pat; sister, Jane Watson.
