Jacob Anthony Young, age 73, passed away on February 4, 2026 in Schertz, Texas. He was born on September 26, 1952 in San Antonio, TX. Jacob graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and went on to service his country for 2 years in the United States Army.
Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, James and Tina Young; and his nephew, Jason Young. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Laumer; his brothers, Daniel and Tom Young; his sisters, Sandy Gilmore and JoAnn Markham Young; his close friend, Leah Pace; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the care of the staff of Audie Murphy V. A. Hospital for the last 5 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 27th at 3:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home in the Yellow Rose Suite.
