Jacqueline Bettie Ehling Wong, age 73, passed away February 8, 2022 Peacefully, in her sleep at her home in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Fresno, CA on November 27, 1948 to Bettie Ann Miles and Jack Elmer Ehling of Fresno, CA. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
What would people like to know about our mom… such a great question.
She was the woman with many names… Jackie Wong, Theresa Jurado and Theresa Lynn Riggan… but the one name MOST people knew her as was, Terri.
Terri was beautiful in Life and Spirit.
She was the gentle soul who just wanted to receive and give LOVE.
Her greatest legacy are her five children and eight grandchildren.
She is best known for her gift of bringing life to plants.
Terri should have won the award for, “The Greenest Thumb”. Many of her children and grandchildren have inherited that talent because she has passed on that gift by teaching them.
Terri would walk into a botanical garden and leave with several “treasures” that she would later breathe life back in to and have a wonderful story to tell everyone.
Her second love was nature.
If she wasn’t in the back yard tending her plants, she was watching and listening to the birds, bees, animals, butterflies and cicadas. Whenever she had a chance, she was outside.
Terri was always up for adventures and many of her children have captured that adventurous spirit.
She loved the mountains, the trees, the wind, the weather and the skies.
Don’t get her started about the skies and chemtrails ;)
She was a strong advocate for the environment. It caused her distress learning of how toxic the Earth, sky and oceans have become. She did her best to do her part and to make sure others were aware of the current issues and advocated the support of many organizations through her social network connections.
And last, She LOVED to learn!
Terri would read the paper daily and was always reading online, watching or listening to educational videos or reading books. She loved sharing this info with others…
“A Lifelong thirst for knowledge”, another gift she passed onto her children, grand-children and friends.
Terri was a Certified Nurse’s Aide from 1974 until she went back to college to graduate from Fresno City College in 1993 with her nursing degree. If you knew Terri, I don’t have to tell you she loved helping and caring for others; this profession suited her perfectly!
In closing, Terri loved a challenge and overcame MANY over the years.
She was SO STRONG! Terri overcame every obstacle life put in her way and left the Earthly world with no addictions and no illnesses. Terri was healthy; Mind, Body and Spirit… and now she is FREE.
And he said to him, “truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise”. Luke 23:43
A “Celebration of Life” and memorial service will be arranged in Terri’s hometown of Fresno, California at a future date in Late Spring early Summer 2022.
Terri’s wishes were to spend eternity atop her mountains so, her ashes will be dispersed so she can rest where the sun sets with a beautiful view of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range where she spent many days gazing at the stars, making wishes and frolicking.
