Jaime “Jimbo” Horacio Hernandez went home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2012 at the age of 63. Jimbo was born August 23, 1949 in Laredo, Texas. He was a graduate of Brackenridge High School - Class of 1968 and was employed by the City of San Antonio for 33 years.
Jimbo was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his two grandchildren, whom he loved with all his heart. He was a true supporter in life, assisting his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.
Jimbo was preceeded in death by his parents, Pablo C. Hernandez and Norberta Garcia.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Valadez Hernandez; his son, Jaime Horacio Hernandez, Jr. and wife Gabriela; grandsons, Jared Tristan and Joshua Connor; mother-in-law, Beatrice Valadez; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7 from 6pm – 9pm with a Rosary service to begin at 7pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Mass will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 1pm at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener.
