He is preceded in death by his loving parents Freida Spoonemoore and James Weldon Cockrell Sr. Jimmy was a long time resident of Seguin, Texas. He will be greatly missed by all. Jimmy is survived by his beloved sister Barbara, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 12 noon at funeral home chapel with Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
