Rev. James Hawthorne, age 85, passed away August 6, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas. Jim was a Methodist minister for almost fifty years. He was also retired from the U.S. Air Force and Swisher Electric Coop.
During a very rich and full lifetime, Jim will be remembered for touching many lives, helping many people, serving the Lord, and being a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Hawthorne, and their daughter, Lenora Smith.
Jim is survived by his sons, Eddie Hawthorne and wife, Lisa, and Greg Hawthorne; daughter, Sandy Ethridge and husband, Darrell, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
