I sang with Jim in the Chordsmen for many years. There has never been a finer gentleman. It was a pleasure to have known him.Alvin and Jo Feuerbacher.

I am saddened by the passing of another great Chordsman. The "fellowship of the chord" gets smaller all too often lately. The 'loss' of another barbershopping brother and the fellowship that Jim brought to others in being willing and able to ring a chord is felt by this remote Chordsman I'm in California now...a Frank Thorne Chapter member. My best wishes and prayers to the Noels from a short-lived Chordsmen who was there to see us get the "Most Improved Chorus" some time ago.

To a gentlemen who was a giant among his peers and his employees. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. He will truly be remembered for all he did. We are sure he is singing in the heavenly chorus.

Jim and I were at the same grade level when I was working at Kelly from 1962-1976. He was my friend, had the highest professional qualites of any person at Kelly. All of his friends loved him. My deepest sympathies go to members of his family. I live in Alabama and will be unable to attend his funeral and regret this very much. My prayers are that he will go to heaven and be in the hand of Jesus Christ.

Mickey and I join Mrs. Noel and family members on the lose of their husband and father. I treasure having worked under his leadership, great wisdom and fairness. We will miss him dearly. Our prayers are with him and his family. Sam & Mickey Idrogo.

Jim was a great mentor to me when I showed up at Kelly AFB in Feb 1964 as a brand new 2nd Lt and his support was very much appreciated. Gloria and I shall miss him a lot. Bruce Richter

On behalf of the entire Sonnen family, we want to express our sympathy to Jim's family for their loss. All of us have fond memories of Jim as a most honorable and engaging man. Our dad, Bob Sonnen, had the highest regard for Jim as a boss and a friend.

May God comfort you during this time of the loss of your loved one.

Mr. Noel was a distinguished gentleman and leader. We both worked with him in one capacity or another prior to his retirement. Thanks to him, I was able to return to civil service at Kelly AFB and a rewarding career.

Thanks for being a great leader and for all your contributions to the Air Force. I'm very thankful for all your help.

Mr. Noel was an example for all of us in MM at Kelly of what we wanted to be; Integrity, honesty and professionalism in all he did. I will miss seeing him at our Kelly Ex's lunches and parties. God bless Jimmy and all his family and friends!

Jim was a great person. I have many good memories of being in the choir with him at Manor Baptist! He had such a great sense of humor and always made us smile!

I had the pleasure to serve with Jimmy at Kelly AFB a couple years and also was able to fish with him in Alaska a few times. What a wonderful talented individual. He was an exceptional leader. My condolences to his family and friends.
