How very sad I was to hear just this past weekend the news that Mr. Sinclair, my father Max's lifelong best friend, had passed back in February. I wish I could have been there to comfort you, Akay, at the funeral. But I am cheered by the vision of my father and Mr. Sinclair catching up on memories and recalling all the old ones as well. My dad is at peace in heaven with my mom, but I'm sure he is very happy to see his dear friend. God Bless you Akay and your family. My love and prayers are with you. The hardest part is for those of us left behind impatiently waiting to see our loved ones again.

Jimmy taught me most of my Masonic work. He was a friend of my dad, Morris Todd. Dad and I were members of Community #1201, and Jimmy came over often to help several of us learn the work and then later, to work in degrees. He was the most patient man, and became a mentor to me over the years. I remember he came to my installation when I became Master of Community. He also came to my installation as the 75th Potentate of Alzafar Shrine. He lived his life with kindness toward everyone. He spoke softly, but when he spoke, everybody listened! He was an amazing man! I will miss his good counsel.

One of the greatest men I have known. He was a very strong man, I have looked up to him since I was very young. A pilar to the family. Great uncle James, you will be dearly missed.

A very wise person under inspiration wrote: "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one's being born." Mr. Sinclair surely fit that description for he built up a good name for himself not only in business but in all aspects of life and at his death he will be remembered for his goodness. We are appreciative of our son, John, having had the opportunity to work for Mr. Sinclair and learn many fine skills from him. Our thoughts are with the Sinclair family.

I only knew James in his later years but adored him and his gentle way with others. What a wonderful life he lived! He will be greatly missed.

I am sorry to see Jimmy go, I thought he was a wonderful person, and he and I always joked at the esoteric classes at Army lodge. I would say "I beat you Jimmy!", but it seems for once he has arrived before me. I will miss Jimmy he was a heckava guy.

We did not know James but A.Kay was a 
special friend, and we wished her and the family to know that we are thinking of her and them during this time of loss. Our prayers go with them during the days ahead.

MR SINCLAIR HELPED ME MANY YRS AGO GETTING STARTED IN KNIFE COLLECTING. HE WAS FAIR AND TRUST WORTHY - A REAL GENTLEMAN. I ENJOYED GOING TO CRITES JUST TO SAY HELLO. MY THOUGHT ARE WITH THE FAMILY. GOD BLESS

as he wished until quite recently. That's a blessing.

Akay, you and James have always been an inspiration to us. Your love for one another was so beautiful. You have been a part of my life since I was nine. You watched me grow up and grow old. Thank you for being there. We send our love and prayers. I will always remember James walking his beloved friends by our home. It still meams the world is well. Much Love.

To all who knew Jim, will agree with me that he now rests from the storms of life with our Lord. Yet even so we will miss him for a while, till we realize by our faith, that we will all once again be together.

Br. Sinclair was a kind, gentle man whose counsel I always deeply appreciated. His instruction and opinions on the Biblical underpinnings and lessons taught in Freemasonry pointed me towards ordination. Serving beside him in Alamo Lodge was one of the highlights of my decade in San Antonio. I will always cherish a photo I have of him installing me as Senior Warden of Alamo Lodge. Is there anyone who knew this man that cannot be assured of his eternal reward? In my experience, he reflected the highest qualities of his faith as well as that of his fraternity. Bless you, Brother Jim. I will see you again before the Master's throne. Those who love you know that you are not gone, merely that we haven't yet caught up to where you are now.

I'm going to miss Mr. Sinclair. I can still hear his voice saying " Crites Company". I will remember his kindness.

Mr. Sinclair was a model to me as a young Mason. His leadership and friendship will be missed by me and many others. God rest his soul.

Mr. Sinclair was a great role model, mentor, friend and a great example of a good man made better, through our teachings, which he loved to teach. My love and respect to him...and condolences to his family.

When the Great Ones pass beyond our reach, those of us who are left behind are bereft of their advice, love, and attention. Our great comfort is that the lessons, skills and examples that you taught, live on through our lives. Jimmy, you are a great man. Through your selfless acts and kind words, generations of us have had the opportunity to become better men. Thank you, Sir. My condolences to the family and all those left behind. Thank you for sharing him with each of us.

Jimmy, you are already sorely missed. I valued your opinion more than anyone with the exception of my own father. You were a gentleman, and to the end always showed politeness and class at every turn: Your kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion were never lost on us and those around you. Even in the occasional face of heated discussion, you would take the negative and turn it into a positive, and everyone felt better afterwards. Alamo #44 is significantly diminished without you here. Brother James was a wonderful man, Mason and friend. He did so much for Albert Pike Chapter No. 58, Order of DeMolay that it was impossible to properly thank him for those services. At least I tried and may he rest in peace.

To AK and Children, I was very saddened to hear of the death of your Husband, Father and Grandfather. Jim was loved by EVERYONE that came into his circle. He gave all he had to help people become better than they were before He knew them. From the beginning of our Friendship at Manor Baptist and through Alamo Lodge for the last 36 Years, Kay and I have felt that Jim and his family were more than friends. From the twinkle in his eyes when he met you to the gentle demeanor when you sought counsel with him, Jim was always there. He did not condemn but accepted you without reservation. 
The best thing that that I can say about Jim is that he was a Brother through the lodge, but was more like a true Brother to me. Jim and AK's friendship was more like true love for a real brother and Sister. Kay and I will miss him dearly. His memory will never die as we remember him as a true friend and Brother With all our Love, John and Kay Searson

Jim was, and still is, a great influence in my life. Although he will not be physically here, he is still very much alive in my thoughts, and in my heart.

I have only known Jimmy since July of 2009 and in that time not only was he my masonic mentor but he was also my friend! I will miss him dearly!

Just one of the most Nobel and Gental men I ever know. There must be another Mason out there that will carry the tourch in HIS honor and memory.

I absolutely love this man and will miss him immensely. Jimmy's kind words and encouragement have helped me be a better person, husband and father. May God bless you and your family during this very difficult time. Alamo Lodge #44 will ALWAYS be there for you and your family.
