

Jim graduated from The College of William & Mary in 1964. He then joined the US Army and served his country for 23 years, retiring in 1987. During this time he obtained Master's degrees from Baylor University and USC. His service took him to Texas, Germany, Kentucky, and Viet Nam. Immediately preceding retirement, he was teaching at the Health Science Accademy at Ft. Sam.
In 1988 Jim married Yvette whom he had met at Castle Hills.
After retiring, he worked for US Air and held various other jobs, His favorite by far was serving and working parttime at Castle Hills Christian Church where he had been a member since 1986. The two highlights of his service to CHCC were directing the Living Last Supper presentations and serving as an Elder which he refered to as the greatest honor of his lifetime.
Jim enjoyed sports and gardening. He coached a girl's basketball team while in college and later his sons' youth soccor team. He loved taking frequent "road trips" with close friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John.
Jim is survived by his wife, Yvette; his three children: Donna and husband Richard Stepanian of Houston, David Tudor of Dallas, and Matthew Tudor of Fair Oaks Ranch; four grandchildren: Jennifer and husband Chad Parrish currently in Germany and Kuwait, Megan and Sarah Stepanian of Houston, and Zachery Tudor of Dallas; and one great granddaughter: Elizabeth Parrish in Germany.
