James "Jim" William Whitehurst, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in San Antonio. Born in Austin, Texas to parents Jesse and Margaret Whitehurst, Jim attended A.C. Jones High School and later the University of Houston. He spent 30 years with Sherwin Williams Paint Company and retired as a district manager. Jim then went on to be a partner with Alan Hydraulics and Machinery for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. Jim is survived by his wife, Pat B. Whitehurst; step-daughter, Terri V. Quick and husband, Dennis D. Quick; grandchildren, Scott A. Quick, Natalie D. Eberwein and husband, Kevin R. Eberwein; great-grandchildren, Kara Eberwein and Kevin Eberwein.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
