Jane Tucker Saunders

Jane Tucker Saunders, 84, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2022, in San Antonio with her family by her side. Jane was born on October 28, 1937, in Memphis, Tennessee to Hazel Louise Jones and James Cleveland Tucker. Jane was a Realtor in San Antonio for 30 years. Her interests included tending to her cattle and finding arrowheads at her late husbands ranch in South Texas, birdwatching, golfing with her friends at the San Antonio Country Club, and spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed preparing meals and hosting gatherings for her family and friends, gardening, and traveling the world. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Jane was thoughtful, generous, tough-minded, and gregarious. She was the matriarch of her family and respected by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Saunders. Jane is survived by her children, Leigh Munk (Dwight), Kim Schott (Jason White), John Moore, and Ben Saunders; grandchildren, Leigh Hostetler (Michael), William Murphy (Jessica Harris), Evan Munk (Melissa), Carlisle Cahill (Kyle), Stefanie Sam (David), Bradley Milton, John Michael Moore, and Tommy Moore; great-grandchildren, Ella, Kathryn, and Hadley Hostetler, Rylan and Eli Munk, Hazel and Olive Cahill; brother, Null Tucker and his wife, Trudy; sister, Nancy Douglas and many nieces and nephews.
