Janet B. Meyer

Our precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Janet Baab Meyer, age 98, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on June 19, 1924, in Denver, Colorado. Janet was preceded in death by her parents E.L. Baab and Dee Baab.

She is survived by daughter, Toni Meyer Lucas (Jim); grandchildren, James Lucas (Kristy), Christine Crescenzo (Mike); great-grandchildren, Abby Lynd, Annie Lynd, Hailey Lynd, Caden Crescenzo, and Maci Crescenzo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Janet grew up in Greely Colorado and graduated from Greeley High School. After moving to San Antonio, she began a career at USAA on Grayson St. After the move to the Broadway building, she was among the first computer programmers at USAA. She belonged to Toast Mistress and the Bowling League. She played bridge with friends and loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. She enjoyed time with her family and the yearly Meyer Family Reunion.

A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the San Antonio Food Bank or the San Antonio Humane Society.
