

Jean was born in Norphlet, Arkansas to Harold and Mittie Cline on July 12, 1936. She went to school in White Oak, Texas. She married Cary W. Hall on June 21, 1958 in White Oak, Texas. She graduated from Kilgore Junior College, where she had been a member of the Kilgore Rangerettes, and then from East Texas University. She later received a Master's Degree in Education with a librarian certification and many teaching awards. She worked as a teacher and school librarian for San Antonio ISD and Northeast ISD for 35 years. She was involved in the San Antonio Kennel Club, Alamo PC, and the school activities of her children. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling the United States, painting, reading, gardening, and helping her daughter who is also a teacher.
Jean is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Max, and her sister Doris.
Jean is survived by her husband Cary, her daughters Jennifer and Shannon, and her brother Mike.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218, on April 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78218, USA, on April 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, with live stream available at https://www.facebook.com/1742304236071652.
Memorials may be given to the Montgomery Elementary school library in Northeast ISD.
