Born in Galveston, Texas, on June 17, 1920, she was the daughter of Arthur S. Sitterle, Sr. and Cary E. Sitterle. Jeanne was a founding member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Hicks and brother, Arthur S. Sitterle, Jr.
Jeanne is survived by her sisters, Sissy Gainey and Bess Lochte; sons, Arthur S. Hicks and James R. Hicks; daughters, Linda E. Harrison and her husband, Tom Harrison and Jeannene A. Wood; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richard Wood, Dr. E. R. Lochte III, Mark Gainey, Arthur "Pete" Sitterle, Joey Ussery and A. J. Coldewey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 8415 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78229.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
