She was born in Galveston, TX on June 8, 1983 to James Talbert and Cammie Ward. She served on the USS Theodor Roosevelt and deployed to numerous locations in the Mediterranean Sea and later served at Portsmouth Medical Hospital, VA as a Corpsman. Shortly before fulfilling her enlistment, she met the love of her life, James “Jim” Carman in Virginia. They married and she became a mother to Matthew and Christian Carman, which she loved as her own. Military life landed them in Texas, where Jeannie pursued a career as a medical assistant and graduated with honors all while pregnant with their beautiful daughter, Jayme Carman. With their family finally complete, Jeannie used her medical and military knowledge to serve as a Medical Administrator and Office Manager in the Internal Medicine clinic at Wilford Hall Medical on Lackland AFB. While serving at Wilford Hall she earned numerous awards for her undeniable attention to detail and endless drive to serve patients.
Along with her fur babies, Jasper, Zoe Grace, Shadow, and Dunkin, Jeannie’s heart was full. Jeannie’s pride radiated around her husband, children, and pups.
Jeannie loved spending time helping people, making lifelong friends, and transforming friends into family. Most of all Jeannie loved children and the children from her work, church, military, and immediate families were all “her babies”. Kids naturally gravitated to her warm smile, contagious laughter, abundant love, her nurturing demeanor, and compassion so deep, you knew she had Jesus in her heart. It didn’t take a lot to make Jeannie happy, she was a super humble and grateful person who never met a stranger. She spent all of her free time with family and friends, and all of her professional and personal time in the service of others.
