Jeffery Dale Jones

Jeffery was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 18, 1966 to Jerry & Lillian Jones. He went to Hallmark University for an associates degree for IT. He always had a knack for computer and technology! Once he graduated, he began working on mainframe computers for USAA, taking pride in his work and finding peace in working during the nightshifts. When the world was quiet and he could relax behind the screen. If there’s one thing he would always be known for, it’s his absolute love for Dallas Cowboys & the San Antonio Spurs. Go Spurs Go!

Jeffery is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jerry & Lillian Jones, as well as his brother Jerry Jones Jr, and brother-in-law William McQuien.

Jeffery is survived by his sister, Ramona McQuien, niece Natalie Austin (Cody) and nephew James McQuien (Paula), as well as six great-nephews.

Pallbearers for the service will be Ike Kenney, John Schollcraft, Jerod Hendrix, Richard Salas, Arron Spencer, & Terence Heebner.

A visitation for Jeffery will be held on September 26, 2025 at 10 AM, with services to follow at 11 AM, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238. A procession will follow to lay him to rest at San Fernando #3, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226, to lay him at rest. This is meant to honor Jeffery and surround his family with love and care, especially during this very difficult time. Any floral donations can be sent directly to the funeral home.
