He was born on August 1, 1971 in Marion, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and the Air National Guard.
He worked most recently as a lead surgical technician at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas and Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas.
His grandmother, Lucy "Nanny" Taylor, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Fields; daughters, Mara Waldron Fields, and Elise Fields; parents, Norma Jean Jeanny Powell and husband, Victor of Houston, TX; sister, Amy Fields and fiancé, Michael Brown of Houston, TX; and best friend, Art McCoy, of Ft. Wayne, IN.
