Amy, Sorry to hear about the passing of Jerry. I ran into him at Horseshoe Bay several years ago and was hoping to catch up with him next time I was up there. We had some great times and enjoyed playing racquet ball with him. Will certainly miss him  Tuffy and Gayle

Dear Bonds Family,  I knew Jerry over 20 years. Every time I went into Alamo Interiors to visit Sonny and everyone I would quietly slip back into Jerry’s office to see what he was up to and look at new family pictures and to check out his ducks or whatever else he had shot lately.  Even when he was busy he would always look up quietly with that intriguing smile welcoming me. We chatted about our families and this and that.  Then there were all the office jokes he pulled on Sonny! These two stand out to me. Somebody…put a pair of tiddy whitties on Sonny’s office wall with, of course, an AGGIE joke. Then, there was the REAL LIVE HUGE WHITE TURKEY that was sent to our house for Thanksgiving. Jerry also put up with a stranded dog that Sonny found and adopted and would feed and water in front of the warehouse for months until suddenly he found the owners!  One day I came home from work and our recliner was missing. I asked Sonny about it and he said he took it to Jerry because he needed it. I was a proud wife. Thank you Amy for all you and Jerry did for our family through the years. May God be with you all in your sorrow.

Amy, Brian and Adrienne, I am so sorry to hear about Jerry.  Eric and I are living in Oklahoma now and won't be able to be there on Wednesday to celebrate Jerry's life, but I wanted you to know how much he meant to me.  I met Jerry in 1983 when he hired a 21 year old  just out of the Air Force. He told me at the time  it was a temporary position as construction was not always a steady industry.  Twenty-one years later my life was changed forever.  I will always be grateful to Jerry  for not only the longest temporary and only job I had ,  but for the opportunities he gave me that shaped who I am.  Jerry became more than a boss over those years, he became a friend and a part of a wonderful group of people that became my family.  I have so many pictures of him in my mind, but the last is the one I will treasure, he was with Amy who he loved with all his heart.  Janice and Eric Langer

We remember spending time with Jerry when his daughter Adrienne had her first child Holt.  He was one proud  grandpa!!!  You could tell he really loved all his grandchildren.  Our time  at the hospital and having breakfast with him was precious … he was so kind,  gentle and welcomed us into his growing family.  He will be greatly missed.
