

Jerry Delton Rogers was born on March 27, 1935 to parents Jerry E. Rogers and Pearlie Mae Rogers. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served for 30 years, retiring at rank of Command Sergeant Major. During his year of service he served tours of duty in Germany, Panama, and Vietnam as well as numerous bases in North America. Jerry was a proud soldier and was the best at his responsibilities. After retiring from the Army, he spent 28 years in civil service.
He was an avid gardener and also loved to travel the world with his wife. Although he did not own any pets, he was loved by all the dogs in the neighborhood because he gave them treats as they passed his house on their walks.
He is predeceased by his parents; sister, Mildred Belew; brother, Clowis Rogers; and Doris' family in France. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothea Rogers, his sister, Juanita Rogers, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Interment with full army honors will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don York, David Hansen, & Dick James. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
