Jerry Solis

Jerry Solis, age 61, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at his home in Bulverde, TX. Jerry was surrounded by those he loved as he passed peacefully to meet his Lord. Born on December 4, 1960, in San Antonio, to parents, Carlos Solis and Rachel Solis. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Solis; his brother-in-law, Amando "Wallace" Pena; and godson, Jacob Abraham. Jerry is survived by his wife, Patricia Solis; his children, Jessica Solis, Jason Solis and John Solis; his grandchildren, Tristin Solis, Colter Schuetz, Alyssa Schuetz, Wyatt Solis and Memphis Guillen; his brother, Edmund Solis; sisters, Cynthia Pena and Betty Jean Abraham; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jerry was an ER nurse for 28 years; during which he trained and mentored countless nurses and colleagues. He was always teaching life lessons through laughter or quick wit, and he had a joke for all occasions. He was swift to lend a helping hand, a word of advice or words of encouragement. Jerry will best be remembered for his love for his family and his joy for life. He was a husband, father, brother, son and his greatest title of all, Papa. Whether he was bar-b-queing at Fredericksburg Trade Days, cooking for a fundraiser or just feeding family and friends, it was always done with love. Jerry lived life with a smile on his face, a joke in his pocket and a zest for life that will never be forgotten.
