Jesse R. Ellisor

Jesse Ray Ellisor, age 75, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on March 26, 1940 in New Waverly, TX to Elmer & Nona Ellisor. He retired as a SFC in the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He also retired from Civil Service (Army Frequency Manager) at Ft. Sam Houston. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Mr. Ellisor is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elke Ellisor; 2 children, Patrick Ellisor & wife, Emily Ellisor and Evelyn Ellisor Parrish; grandson, Grey Parrish; brother, Johnnie Ellisor, Sr. & wife, Christine Ellisor; 5 sisters, Dr. Velica Calvert-Grant & husband, Rev. Hector Grant, Callie McGilbert, Addie Johnson & husband, Evander Johnson, Rebbie Ellisor-Taylor & husband, Ashiki Taylor and Nona “T.C.”Ellisor-Tatman; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be at 8 am, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service at 9 am. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston will Full Army Honors.
